d'Abomey-Calavi (UAC), Faculty of Agricultural Sciences,
Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences, Benin has
microbiological and chemical laboratories and has PCR equipment
suitable for characterization of microorganisms. The local project
leader will be Prof. Joseph Hounhouigan who will be responsible for
development of multifunctional starter cultures and together with
Dr. Wilfrid Padonou will be PhD supervisors.
